Horn's funeral is scheduled for 10 am Wednesday at the Pawnee High School Auditorium. Services for the Campbell family are set for 10 am Friday at the high school auditorium. They are survived by husband and father, Wayne Campbell of Stillwater.

Age 81, passed away August 12, 2011. He was born August 4, 1930, in Lansing. Burton was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Coast Guard and in the Michigan National Guard. He graduated from Lansing Eastern High School and retired as an electrical supervisor from Fisher Body in 1981, after 30 years of employment. Burton was a scout leader, a coach, and a friend to everyone. He could fix anything, and he will be remembered for his way with words, leaving many “sayings” that his family will never forget.
Surviving are: 3 children, Stephen (Carol) Britton of Holt, Kay (Abid) Britton-Khan of Clare and Karen Britton of Lansing; 6 grandchildren, Jennifer (Steve) Clem, Eric (Liz) Britton, Corinne Britton, Daniel Cook, Amina Bofaris and Isra Bofaris; 3 great-grandchildren, Donivan Cook, Adam Horn and Briana Cook; sister, Beverly Zdurne; 2 nieces, Alexa (Vince) Hanson and Linda (Bill) Vickers; nephew, Joseph Britton; special friend, Rose Robinson, and loyal companion, Patrick (his black lab).
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at the Estes-Leadley Greater Lansing Chapel, with interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00-1:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. Monday. Memorial contributions may be made to the Capitol Area Humane Society or to Ele’s Place in memory of Burton Britton.
