On Friday, July 29 at 2:30 p.m., Diana L. Eldredge, 43, white female, of 106 Harborview Avenue Bridgeport was arrested for Larceny 5th degree, Interfering with an Officer, Reckless Driving, Operating motor Vehicle Without a License, Engaging in Pursuit, No Insurance, and Theft of Plate, after she was observed by Kohl’s Department Store Loss prevention, selecting multiple items of men’s wear, taking them into the women’s fitting room and leave the fitting room without the items visible. The pursuit continued into Bridgeport and onto I-95 southbound where Eldredge exited at Exit 22 and was stopped and taken into custody on Kinnie Drive in Fairfield. Harold Kuhn, 61, was arrested Tuesday, July 26 and charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession of narcotics after a search and seizure was executed at his home, 215 Warde Terrace. The detective division received complaints regarding unusual activity taking place at his home which is located within a senior citizen complex (Parish Court). After conducting a thorough investigation, the Fairfield police detectives revealed that Kuhn was selling oxycodone and oxycontin out of his home. During the search police confiscated a large amount of both narcotics as well as $761.00 in cash. He was taken into custody, charged with one count possession of narcotics with intent to sell and one count possession of narcotics and released on a promise to appear in court on Aug. 11. At least one neighbor said he heard something, but looked out and didn’t see anything. The next morning, others found the damaged Stop sign, gathered evidence, took photos, called police and called other neighbors, at least one of whom was walking a dog at the time. Police came, and with the gathered evidence and their own accident team’s findings, traced the accident to Andrews, who lived nearby. Lt. James Perez said the Neighborhood Watch program teaches individuals to sharpen their observational skills, and report information that is useful to police.
